Department Adjutants-Quartermasters

As you know, homes and land in California continue to be devoured by fire being fueled by dry and windy weather conditions. 

As a result of the devastation, the Department California has established a special fund to assist our comrades and active duty personnel who have been evacuated and or suffered a loss due to the fires.

The Department of California is asking for our support.   The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Headquarters is sending $100,000; $50,000 to assist non military members and $50,000 for the members of the active military stationed in California.   Please notify the Posts in your Department and ask them to contribute to this immediate relief effort.   Monetary donations may be sent directly to the Department of California Headquarters, 1510 J Street, Suite 110, Sacramento, California 95814.  Specify if your donation should be used by only members or non-members who are serving in the US military.
