Buddy Poppy Display Rules for 2007-2008

The ONLY Theme to be used on displays is “Some Gave All”

Displays – Only Memorial or Inspirational (Wreaths, Memorial tablets or plaques, Patriotic or devotional).

A) Displays must be designed to honor the dead, to inspire devotion to God and Country, to honor our Veterans!

B) At least 100 Poppies will be used. At least one Poppy used in the display must be in the original form, color and tag attached.

C) Size – No bigger than 2 feet wide and 2 ½ feet tall.


Have a card on the bottom of the display ONLY with the Auxiliary name and Chairman’s name, amount of Buddy Poppies. If the Post name or number is visible on the display, the display will be disqualified.

The 1st judging will be held at District meetings. The District President is to set the date for your display judging. Only the First Place winners are to be taken to the State Convention. If the Post Auxiliary can’t bring, the District President should bring it.

District Presidents – Please notify me at what District Meeting your judging will be held and who your 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are.

There will be no judging at Mid-Winter Conference!

Final judging will be at the State Convention. Prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at State Convention.

Junior Girls are to bring their displays to the State Convention.

The First Place winner to be taken to the National Convention.

Please stick to these rules. You have time to work on these. I want everyone to have equal opportunity in this contest.
